CANCUN FLIGHTS

When you picture Cancun, your mind is filled with images of endless white-sand beaches, crystal-clear waters, sunshine and margaritas. A perfect combination to kick off your holiday in Cancun.

But there's much more to this paradise destination. This is the home of the Mayan world and its fascinating culture. You can also admire its landscapes, its abundant flora with thousands of exotic flowers, and its breathtaking fauna.

MUCH MORE THAN SUN AND SAND

Just four decades ago, Cancun was a deserted island that very few people knew about. Today, this region on the northeast coast of the Yucatán Peninsula in the state of Quintana Roo is Mexico's holiday resort par excellence.

Commanding a strategic location, Cancun is the main gateway to the Caribbean and the Mayan world. You'll find a wealth of archaeological sites nearby, including the El Rey Ruins in the so-called Cancun Hotel Zone. On your trip to Cancun, you can also learn about the region's history at museums showcasing the ancient Mayan culture.

Nature is another one of Cancun's attractions. From Cancun you can hop on the ferry to Isla Mujeres, an almost-deserted paradise island. Once there, you can visit the Garrafón Natural Reef Park or unwind on the island's spectacular beaches.
